ITCHY!

I have posion ivy. I don't remember the last time I had it (well over 25 years ago) and it's easy to forget just how darn itchy this rash is. Holy moses. Yesterday I picked up IA and in the process her body gave my arm a good rub. I can not tell you how good that felt. It must be similar to the bliss a cat gets from a scratching post. I wanted to do it again. But instead I've been gooping on Calamine lotion (does that smell ever bring back memories!) and trying to keep my mitts off. Every now then then I cheat and rub the rash through my sleeve, I just can't help it! My internet sleuthing says this lasts 7-15 days. I'm on day 8 and I may have to straight jacket myself.
