NYC right here in Columbus

I've decided that being in the building where I work now, with its 10k employees, is a little like living in NYC. Everyday I pass a gazillion different people, but the number of people I know is frighteningly small. It's sort of like how you know your neighbors and the local restaurants in NYC, but there's also this huge world outside of your 10 block radius. I "grew up" in the startup world...so this environment feels completely foreign. Not bad, not good...just different. My past afforded me many friends, some of which are over a decade old, my present not so much. Granted I haven't been here for all that long, but I still find myself passing the occasional friendly faced 30 something wishing we were friends.
