Love 'em and leave 'em
One of my favorite guilty pleasures on a chilly fall night is to flip on the T.V. and settle in with a warm cup of decaf chai tea. After the house settles and there's relative peace, I find it a great way to unwind. Mindless entertainment, bring it on. There's really no genre that I don't like...I shamelessly admit to being a fan of everything from Survivor to Melrose Place (new and old) to Nova. Throughout my years of boobtubing, I've noticed that fall T.V. is like being single. You meet a show you like, find it enticing, test it out with a few viewings and then BAM!, it breaks your heart by getting canceled. Goodbye Arrested Development, farewell Dirty Sexy Money, RIP Pushing Daisies. Shows this fall have shown more promise than usual (perhaps even since the Lost/Desperate Housewives fall season 5 years ago!)and I'm positive that I'm about to get my heart broken with a cancellation or two. I'm sort of glad this Darwinist natural selection will happen soon because my Tivo (and I!) can't keep up. T.V. gods, just please be kind.
