I am so amazed by IA right now.
Today, for the first time, she said a word. Granted her pronunciation was appropriately garbled for a 10 months old, but it was clearly an attempt at saying "bye-bye". The cadence and intonation were there, as was the hand wave. It was so exciting to see, but also really unexpected. I guess this was technically her first word? WA's first was "doggie" and unfortunately I can't really remember when that happened. She is also 'cruising'...walking along furniture unassisted. She will stand with only one hand used for balance, imitating a kind of human bobblehead. It literally was only a week or two ago that she was mastering the art of crawling! I keep thinking of IA as an infant, perhaps subconsciously wanting her to stay that way for as long as possible, so this all feels like it shouldn't be happening yet. My baby is growing up and I'm not sure I'm ready.
